A Clone Watch (and other stuff)
Sir Steve’s Guide (yes, the very same site that has won the Ultra Geeky Award many times) has posted some images from the first wave of the 2008 line of Star Wars figures that you might want to check out if you are so inclined. As the title of this post indicates we have a Clone Watch with this wave, albeit a pretty minor one:

Commander Gree has made a return with this wave. For some reason I never cared for him in toy form, but dug his look in the film. Maybe the “suspenders” stick out a little more on the toy or something. I really can’t get behind a clone trooper with suspenders.

Along with Gree along comes a Kashyyyk Trooper for you army builders. What’s really odd is I never really liked the look of these guys in the film, but I’ve liked their toy form. I think it’s the fact that the head on the toy is a little closer to a Biker Scout or I could be crazy.
Along with this wave (but not pictured) is the Clone Trooper with poncho. Viva la ponchos I say.
Of course there are several non-clones in this wave as well. One of them is a new mold of the 2-1B medical droid who basically saved the galaxy. Hey, if he hadn’t of taken care of Luke on Hoth the galaxy was basically f’d in the a.

The other figure in this wave that is worth noting is Darth Vader:

Yeah, that’s really weird.

what’s weird?

It’s just another Darth Vader figure except for some reason he looks more like a little bitch than usual.
What is weird is how crappy this wave is. I mean, haven’t most of these figures already been out for awhile?

yes, but not on new cards. And if SW fanboys have proved anything over the years, it’s that they’ll buy anything any number of times if there’s a new slice of cardboard behind it.
Thanks a lot, MOCers…

Hey there mr. re. I collect MOC, but I’m not dumb enough to buy the same figure twice to keep in the package, unless you count an endless amount of repainted clones as the same figure.

You also don’t ask needlessly technical questions in the Q&A sessions.
But the MOC thing is still weird. Weirdo.

Oh boy, if you think I’m weird for collecting MOC…
