Andy Kaufman in Plastic
If there was one type of action figure I couldn’t care less about, I’d have to say it was wrestling figures. I haven’t watched any kind of professional wrestling on purpose since I turned eleven. However, there are a few exceptions to the rule and Andy Kaufman is a big, big exception:
Andy Kaufman was one of the most interesting figures ever in comedy. The fact that you either loved him or completely and utterly hated him and his irreverent humor was enough to make him a memorable figure in pulp culture. The fact that he had a short lived wrestling career where he fought mostly women, well that’s the kind of insanity that will make him a notable figure in history while lesser comedians are forgotten. Will I buy this figure? No. Is it awesome? Yes.

I’d love to see an Andy doll with an orange jumpsuit that sang ‘I Trusted You’ over and over - check the video at the end of http://thishereboogie.com/i-trusted-you-andy-kaufman-1977/. Probably the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.
