Another Millennium Falcon Pic

by Paul

Another picture of the Millennium Falcon has emerged on Galactic Hunter.com. Here’s the super small version, but you must go on their site and super size it for all the fantastic details:

Holy crap. I just blew a giant nerd load. I’m sorry to be graphic, but this “rumored” new Millennium Falcon is perhaps the coolest toy I’ve ever seen. The list of features on this box is amazing:

1. Secret Smuggling Compartments
2. Medical Bay (with Luke’s arm thing that hooks in)
3. Cockpit lights up AND fits four figures.
4. Light up headlights.
5. Pivoting gunner station.
6. Movie phrases, sounds, light up hyperdrive.
7. Firing missiles (some in the front, and from the laser cannon on top)
8. Light up holo chess table.
9. Training probe with lightsaber sounds.
10. Mini-fighter.
11. Comes with Han Solo and Chewbacca.

Holy crap, this is amazing. Out of all the rumored features that came up in forums across the internets yesterday, almost every single one of them was true. Hell, I was going to put up a post making fun of the rumors because they seemed too good to be real. I’m glad I didn’t now.

I’d argue that with all these features that this Falcon makes this one of the greatest toy/playsets ever. It really brings me back to the days when playsets and super large vehicles ruled. While there are a few questions that need to be answered (cost and availability namely) there’s about a thousand nerds are ready and willing to buy this thing this second, including me. Please tell me Hasbro, how many babies must I sacrifice to your pagan gods to get this?

Kudos to Hasbro on this puppy. You get a Duran Duran nod, my friends:

Thanks again to Poe Ghostal for pointing me toward this. I owe him one heart attack.

Update: I missed this, but here’s the front of the box.

Update 2: Galactic Hunter is now saying that it will be released THIS July. Whaaa waaa?!

Be careful, Paul. You never know when I’ll collect on that.

And yes, this is the Masterpiece Optimus Prime of Star Wars toys, I think.

  4. XeQUae Says:

Wow!! That is quite an improvement on the old one. Hasbro really has some awesome vehicles lined up with that and the AT-TE.
