AoA Sunfire Available for Pre-Order Now
The winner of the ToyFare Marvel Legends Fan’s Choice Poll, Sunfire from the Age of Apocalypse, is available now for pre-order from Hasbro Toy Shop.com.

I’m considering picking this guy up as I’m a huge fan of Age of Apocalypse. If you’re not familar with it, the quick and dirty version is that Professor X is murdered and history is radically altered. Apocalypse has taken over much of the world, the X-Men are led by Magneto, and there aren’t any regular Marvel superheroes. And that’s just the tip of the iceburg. I just finished reading volume three of the trade collection so I’m still riding high on the AoA loving. The only thing that would stop me is that I haven’t bought a Marvel Legends figure in I don’t know how long. I just fell out of love with them. Does anyone else still care about Marvel Legends?

That is awesome, but I think you might be morally required to tie a string to it and hang it from your ceiling fan. Any other method of toy presentation would be unacceptable.

I haven’t been much of a marvel fan cos I didn’t grow up reading the comics. However, I do enjoy the 1942 alternate universe graphic novel. I might pick up on AOA as pointed out by you.
I haven’t delve into 6″ yet. Heard from fellow collectors that qc in hasbro’s ML line is very weak, with lousy paintwork, poor arti etc. Well, if I ever hear good word or improvement about in the future, I might give it a go and start wasting my money on them.

Me no want!

Ah, also a big AoA fan. In fact, I think it’s the last time I recall not minding a Big Crossover Event. Have there been other AoA-themed figures released?

Your fellow collectors lied to you. Quality control’s fine, the plastic is better than ToyBiz’s, the articulation is good and the paint… yes, the paint could be better. There’s room for improvement, but at least it’s consistent: you don’t need to compare every single figure in the store to find the one with the least mistakes.
If only there was some place I could direct you where you could read reviews of all Hasbro’s Legends so far… hmmm…
GWS: there were several AoA figures in ToyBiz’s old lines, but if you want Marvel Legends style, your only bets are the AoA Sabretooth and Weapon X released in the Wal*Mart wave. A BAF of Holocaust was planned for HL4, but that series has been pushed WAY back, now…

GWS, you know I’m not sure. Must research…

GWS–Toybiz released AoA Weapon X and Sabretooth in their Wal-Mart exclusive wave of Marvel Legends, but the facial sculpt on ‘tooth is pretty awful.
There’s also an AoA Nemesis coming out as a BAF in the later half of the year.
