Bioshock Collector’s Edition Figurine Prototype

by Paul

A fellow 451 Press writer sent me this oh… forever ago and I finally got some time to share this bit of news. If you’re into videogames at all, you’ve probably heard at least a little something about the Bioshock, one of the drool inducing first person shooters coming out for the XBox 360. If you get the “Collectors Edition” (re: you are willing to spend 10 bucks more), then you will get the chance to own your own Bioshock toy.

I haven’t been following the development of the game much, but the web site’s description on Google is:

BioShock is a revolution in the shooter genre that will forever change the expectations for the FPS.

Uh, yeah like every first person shooter hasn’t said that already. I’ll have to wait and see for myself, but this figure is almost reason enough to buy the game. I’m really digging on the old timey dive suit look with a real kick ass vibe. You have to figure that a drill arm would be really handy in any soft of situation a videogame could throw at you. Zombies? Check. Robots? Check. Demons? Check. A drill arm can take them all on. Now in real life, a drill arm might not be able to help you pay your back taxes with the IRS, but it would be a wonderful conversation starter.

The name of this drill-arm super scuba-bub mech is Big Daddy and from what I’ve read it protects Little Sisters (genetically engineered girls). I’m not sure if there is anything in the game called a Hot Momma or a Bad Brother, but you never know.

  2. Paul Says:

I prefer the name “Drill Arm Super Scuba-bub Mech” and henceforth shall forever call him that.

  3. PacoDG Says:

Quick synopsis of the game: Whole city is underwater, so the water effects are absolutely gorgeous and pretty much the best I have seen on any PC/Xbox 360 game to date. Little girls stealing things with the “Big Daddys” all around helping them, along with various madmen (and women) living underground. This game will feature no multiplayer, as to be focused strictly on the very cool, interesting, and unique storyline. Enough of me spamming this game :D Roll the clip! http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/9771

  4. XBox 360 Rally » Blog Archive » Bioshock "Special" presented by The 1UP Show Says:

[...] 2007 by PacoDG The game that is taking over 451press slowly but surely (PCGamingRally, 1pstart, ToyBender, and hell, I am pretty sure LezKeepItReal has an upcoming review of the game!). The 1UP Show crew [...]
