Busy at Work Post Friday!

by Paul

Wow, I’m keeping busy at work and it’s Friday. Strange huh? Anyway, I suppose I owe all you folks something that are surfing the web on a Friday afternoon or evening. While I don’t think there’s a lot of you out there (as comments and traffic indicates), I value you just as much as the regular Monday through Thursday crowd.

1. Expect posts this weekend. Papa needs the money so he’s a blogging on the weekends.

2. I got a Lego gunship for my birthday from my parents, thus I don’t have to look for new ones this year.

3. I feel terrible because I haven’t kept up on Joe or Star Wars news around here, because I’ve been trying to cover a more diverse series of toy topics. What do you think? More G.I. Joe/Star Wars or do you want to see more a variety of toy stuff?

4. You know what sucks? My work participated in this thing where you got to order DVDs, CDs, and Blu-Rays at crazy reduced prices as an Aids benefit thing. Everyone in my office has gotten their orders except me so far. Where’s my James Bond Blu-Rays, damn it!?

5. Anyone get Gears of War 2? Holy crap, it’s the most ridiculous 80s over the top sci-fi action film in game form ever. It’s so terrible it’s beyond awesome. Playing it has reinforced my need for a Cole action figure. I’m so gay for that guy.

  2. Sam Says:

I loathed Gears of War 1. Is 2 a lot better?
And see what you get for helping charities? You should be selfish with your money. :-P

  3. Monte Says:

I like the diverse content, but I also like extensive Joe coverage (owing to my affection for the property) and Star Wars (’cause I can share the news with my computer-less friend, who is a huge Star Wars nerd.)

In other words, I demand both options.

  4. Savage Says:

You can make $ blogging? I must be doing it wrong. You gotta post about what you like - it’s makes it more interesting for everyone.

  5. jumper11 Says:

Don’t blog about capuchin monkeys whatever you do.

  6. bigorangeguy Says:

Your parents are probably e static that the don’t have to worry about being replaced.

  7. PJ Says:

You’ve really been bringing your A-game here lately. Fun reads all, especially the last 5 posts or so. Yes, I’d spend more time with the big 3 and keep doing commentaries about toy geekdom in general. I’d also like to hear your take on the industry-part of the industry (Southern China toy riots, etc.).

You’re doing great, keep up the good work!
