Clone Watch: New Order 66 Target Two Packs

Last year’s Target exclusive Order 66 two packs must have gone over pretty well with Target, because it’s been recently confirmed that they’re ready to have another go around of the things. I know I bought three or four of them without really meaning too, the damn clones were too tempting!
The rumor that there would be more clone two packs started a week or so ago with Jedi Defender having a big update on it that even included a list of figures that we might see. They included:
- Obi-Wan & ARC Trooper Commander
- Anakin & ARC Trooper
- Master Tsui Choi & Barc Trooper
- Palpatine & Commander Vill
- Luminara Unduli & AT-RT Driver
- Master Sev & Yellow ARC Trooper
If some of the names attached with these sets don’t seem familar, then don’t feel too bad. Hasbro seems to make up a new character for every single variation they have with the clone armor. Okay, maybe they aren’t just making them up because most of them come from the comic books, but it certainly feels like they are shoehorning all kinds of clones into the cannon so they can make more figures.
4 inches.de has managed to uncover pictures of a couple of the clones to help with identification purposes.
Commander Vill (ROTS Armor):

I think I’ll pass, since there’s not a whole hell of a lot here to differentiate Vill from half of the clone repaints I’ve seen.
Yellow Arc Trooper (AOTC Armor):

Unlike Vill, I haven’t gotten sick of this version of the ARC troopers yet. Sure he looks just like ARC troopers that we’ve seen before, but he has one important difference: he’s yellow. That one small difference is almost worth purchasing him to me and I’m betting that a lot of other insane collectors will need to get him for this slight cosmetic reason.
Chinese-StarWars.com posted images of a few more of the figures.
AR-RT Driver:

How many of these guys are going to get made? This is looking like overkill.
ARC Trooper (AOTC Armor):

Again, not seeing much of a difference here between this ARC and previous releases.
ARC Trooper Commander (AOTC Armor):

Now we’re getting somewhere. I don’t believe that the red ARC trooper has seen a very wide release so far, so it might be worth a purchase if you haven’t seen him before.
Will you pick any of these up? The real moment of truth for me is when I see these puppies on the shelf. Will they be too tempting to pass up? Only time will tell.
