Cute Little Killer Man

The cute little versions of your favorite Star Wars characters in the Galactic Heroes line have gotten the Marvel treatment with their Superhero Squad line. Toy News International reports that series 2 is debuting and two of the heroes immediately caught my eye as being highly unusual. There’s a cute widdle Punisher and Ghost Rider in the line! We all know how kids love the Mafioso murdering Punisher and the flaming skull of the demon superhero known as Ghost Rider! God, Punisher looks so excited. I imagine he must have just painted the inside of a mobster’s house with brain matter and blood.
I realize that these are more likely made with adult collectors in mind, but it still certainly seems like an odd couple of figures to include in a two pack that are mostly designed for small children, especially if these things are stocked in an aisle with Dora the Explorer and Bob the Builder toys. I smell a need to have a tie in to the Nick Cage Ghost Rider film in our future or the upcoming Punisher 2. Either way, you can have two of the biggest has-been heroes from the extreme comics of the 90s in one pack!
Oh well, I think we all know that the best figures are the Captain America and Hawkeye two pack from wave 1. Am I right or am I right?

I kinda like the alchoholic box set, featuring the Norse ‘Mead swilling’ God of Thunder, Thor and Tony ‘I like martini’s’ Stark AKA Iron Man.
Really. That’s my choice. I’m stickin’ to it.

Cool thanks Baby Linda! I’ll have to give that a shot. I’m going to try to photoshop myself one too for practice, but this is a really good link so when my photoshop one looks like garbage.
Thank you CBM. I like all heroes, but they don’t make a super cute little superman guy do they? Cuz I’d want that one too.
Keith, good choice. I was thinking more along the lines of Marvel’s Civil War. Jerk ass iron man and shouldn’t exist clone Thor.

Wow, I took a gander at the cutesy versions of the Star Wars characters and Darth Vader actually looks scarrier cutesy than he does in the movies.
And how come there isn’t a cutesy Wolverine or Cyclops or any X-Men for that matter? I’m sure they’d have Wolverine’s de-clawed to make it more cutesy!

It looks like the first two waves are mostly Avengers focused. I bet they’re waiting for a wave 3 for the xmen… or maybe they don’t have the rights yet.

Nice. They could add a cutsey, whole in his chest, Goliath and make it a three pack! Complete with oversized grave.

Golly, I’m really surprised by what is sold alongside toys for my toddler, actually. Fun for adults tho!!
