DC Universe Classics Wave 9 Impressions

I know I almost never cover DC Universe Classics figures, but it’s mainly because I can’t keep up with it and I know bloggers who do it much better than I could. Still, I couldn’t help having some thoughts about Wave 9 that I’d like to share.

As much as I don’t want to like him because he’s such a J-hole, I dig Black Adam. I just want to root for him the times he’s not being a total jerk, which seems to change on the whims of the writers.

You know, black Adam is one of the few times a hero or villain in comics has had “black” in his or her name and they aren’t, you know, black race wise. I’m just saying.

Also in Wave 9 is Green Arrow. I’ve never been a Green Arrow as I’ve preferred Hawkeye (yeah, I know it’s blasphemy), but this Green Arrow Looks pretty rad.

His wife Black Canary is looking twice as nice. I’ve always thought she pulled off sexy well without being slutty like a lot of other female heroes.

Oh and then there’s Deadshot who is (at least in my opinion) an interchangeable ultimate assassin type.

Still, he looks pretty cool.

And no, I’m not posting this because I’ve run out of news and my brain is fried. Nope, not that at all…

    Boy, it sure would be great if Mattel hadn’t halfassed the Green Arrow. Yes, it’s nice that he apparently gets some new sculpted details on his chest and arms, but you know what would be even better? If they actually gave him functional articulation that allowed him to use his bow…

    I heard they had to mold an arrow onto the bow in order for it not to be classified as a “weapon”. POO!

    Green Arrow is tight to me.
    I do want to see a picture of GA taking a shot on his bow just to ease our fears.
    Now Black Canary is awesome, and Deadshot looks almost as good as my DC Direct version.
