eBay Madness: Meat Suit
I’ve been pretty disappointed in eBay lately. There’s been nothing crazy or dumb enough to warrant an eBay Madness post… until now! Through the Yo Joe forums I found this crazy ass auction:
The most obvious question is why Wet Suit here is wrapped up in lunch meat. Was he cold and needed an unconventional blanket? Is it some sort of covert operation to infiltrate a Cobra owned deli? The seller offers up a little insight to these questions, “Figure is in good 100% complete condition NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH SALAMI JOE !!!!”
Or not. Somehow it doesn’t surprise me that the seller is European.
This seller is not a one trick pony. He has an unbelievable amount of Wet Suit figures. Check this out:
By God, that’s a lot of Wet Suits. I can only imagine that this auction has a pretty limited appeal. First you need to be in the market for a WHALE in the first place. Then you have to want an army of Wet Suits. Finally, you need to have both of them together. I can’t imagine there’s a that big of a demographic out there willing to give this auction a shot. The one thing I do know is there’s got to be some sort of gay/sailor/Tribble joke hiding in there, but it’s too much for this one man to work out.
Another thing that’s interesting about this auction is that the seller describes the condition of the WHALE thusly:
he WHALE is in very good condition but missing part of rear fans (check pictures) and the recon sled is missing its windshield otherwise this WHALE is complete and in very good condition!
If a toy is missing any part, then it is not complete. That is the definition of complete. Incomplete means that it doesn’t have all of its component parts that make it a whole, so by literal definition this toy is incomplete and is in fact, not complete. Hell, the Wet Suits don’t even include slices of lunch meat.
