Epic Battles Muppet Style
On a recent visit to Great White Snark, I spotted an ultra cool toy related store front display that I had to share too. A comic book store in Canada named Silver Snail had the good sense to replicate the Battle of Helm’s deep from Lord of the Rings entirely with Muppets.
Now I’m not normally a Muppets guy, but I do have a fondness for them left over from my childhood. I’d have to be a monster not to have fallen for their wonderful adventures from my youth, which included the Muppets movies, the Muppet Babies, the Muppet Show and whatever Muppet related merchandise that happened to cross paths with me (I still fondly remember a stuffed Kermit the Frog). It was all great stuff at the time, but I eventually latched on to grown up stuff like G.I. Joes and Star Wars. My fiancee, on the other hand, is a Muppets fanatic to this day. I’m not sure if she’ll think this is the coolest thing on wheels, but if I was a big of a Muppets fan as she is, then my head would have exploded after seeing this. Exploded real good.
By the way, does anyone else have an insane desire now to see a Muppets version of Sauron from the beginning of The Fellowship of the Ring?
