Expect Prices to go up on G.I. Joe, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones…

Bloomberg.com is reporting that Hasbro is going to increase prices on our favorite toy lines for a second time this year to overcome the rising costs of production… just after announcing they’ve had huge increases in profits. Oh well, they’re a business and they’re in it to make money, so it’s up to toy collectors to tell them when enough is enough.
If you’re wondering how much you can expect the price to go up, Bloomberg quoted them as saying it will be a, “mid-single-digit” price increase on a percentage basis will go into effect Sept. 1.” Okay, this is where I admit outright that I’m a total idiot. Anyone care to let me know what that even means?
Anyway, who here thinks they’ll be buying less figures than before? I buy very few action figures as it now stands any kind of increase makes adding to my collection even that much more.
And as a side note, I think it’s funny how a few mainstream news pieces I’ve read have gone out of their way to say that Hasbro makes Monopoly, like it’s the only thing the company is really known for.

They mean something like a 5% increase plus or minus a couple points. So a $7.99 figure would then be around $8.39.
