Force Unleashed Wal-Mart Exclusives
POTF2.com has shed some light on the Stormtrooper variants that have surfaced as of late. Much like they’ve done with other significant Star Was media releases, Wal-Mart will have a couple of Star Wars figure packs in packaging that’s similar to what’s been released before.

The first pack comes with Darth Vader and two of the new ‘troopers complete with racing stripes. The second pack has the Emperor and two troops. In previous releases they’ve had three, three packs so I’m thinking that there’s probably at least one more of these that we haven’t seen yet.
I’ve gone on record with not liking much about the Force Unleashed right now simply based on the unbelievably over the top force powers somehow being crammed into the cannon of the Star Wars universe. I am starting to like some of the stuff coming from it, but I’m never going to buy that Vader had a “secret” apprentice that could take down a Star Destroyer by himself. That’s just a whole new level of stupid.

Knowing me, I’ll prolly get those cos I’m a trooper-holic!

Re: Secret apprentice. I really didn’t believe you at first.
Oh, what a mistake that turned out to be. I saw the wiki and got a little upset.

hey, here’s the third Evolutions pack.
So why are we supposed to hate this story, again? I missed the memo…

I hate this story (so far) because Darth Vader somehow has a secret apprentice that has enough power with the force to take down a Star Destroyer mid air by himself… that’s totally unbelievable for me.

I forgot to add that I have an immediate gut reaction to reject anything that is labeled “unleashed”. I didn’t realize that the Force was leashed in the first place.

let’s try that link again: third Evolutions pack.
Anyway, of everything in Star Wars, THAT’s what you find unbelievable? It’s not like it’s a completely oddball concept. Why shouldn’t Vader have an apprentice? And as for having super-Force powers, you gotta remember: 99% of the people who could use the force have just died; there’s a lot more Force to go around now…

I don’t think it works like that. I guess I can’t get past the concept. For me it’s like they wanted to make a video game where you could do extreme to the max force powers and then shoe horned a story in around it.

“For me it’s like they wanted to make a video game where you could do extreme to the max force powers and then shoe horned a story in around it.”
and this would make said Force… Unleashed.
Hm. that would make a good name for a game.
