Futurama Fans Rejoice

Here’s a quick little news item that might get fans of the canceled (eventually to be uncancelled… if that’s a word) series Futurama. Toynami is making some new toys based off the series and the first two figures I can’t be happier with:

You can’t beat Phillip J. Fry or Dr. Zoidberg. Zoidberg has a special place in my heart. He kind of reminds me of myself, if I was a lobster creature from outer space. It’s surprising that bad boy robot Bender* didn’t make this first cut, but hopefully there’s enough Zoidberg loving to make it worth the wait.

*Bender has no association with Toy Bender. It’s just an unfortunate coincidence.

    Yea, you would think Bender is a fan favorite, that should have been one of the first toys to come out. I’m sure Bender and Layla will be next on the list.

    I’m kinda surprised that there is no Bender. Must be one of them there marketing ploys to keep people interested. Devious.
