G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary Wave 8
Hasbro revealed images of Wave 8 for the 25th Anniversary G.I. Joe last week and I’ve finally had time to put them up here. However, you can see the pictures in their full sized glory on G.I. Joe Club.com. There’s some pretty cool figures in the line-up and a couple of mehs, but enough of my rambling. Why don’t you decide for yourself?
Flint (Tiger Force)

Flint comes back as a Tiger Force varient. It’s pretty cool to see the return of the sub-line. If you haven’t found the first Flint then this might be a suitable substitute. Especially since this Flint has gloves and shorts sleeves, like he’s supposed to have.
Roadblock City Assault

This is one that I’ll definitely pass up, unless I feel the need for a gigantic gun.
Snake Eyes in Parka

So Snake Eyes is now ready for snow combat. I’m not sure how into this figure I am, because I’m suffering a bit from Snake Eyes overload. I suppose he’d make a good match up for the super excellent Snow Job, because he’s a little lonely in all his cold weather gear and nobody to kill Cobra with.
Cobra Commander

This Cobra Commander came with a piece of crystal from the cartoon mini-series the MASS Device. If Hasbro is doing direct cartoon figures, then I’d love to request the female Vipers seen in the trippy episodes where a few Joes go into an alternative universe and Cobra won. That was like totally awesome to the max.
Baroness V.2

It’s surprising to see the cartoon version of The Baroness coming out as a single carded figure. I would have pegged this one to be a comic book two pack release. Either way, this is a tempting purchase for me. I’m a huge fan of the cartoon, warts and all. If only they’d release the bikini sporting Baroness found in the episode, “The Game Master”.
Major Blood

Major Blood’s face is most likely covered because they pulled him from Wave 7 for Wave 8 and this is a pretty damn good indication it’s because his face sculpt bit. Let’s all hope that the extra time in the oven helps.
Python Patrol Cobra Officer

Just like Flint, this Python Patrol Officer heralds the return of a fan favorite sub-line. Can this point to the release of other Python Patrol figures? If crazy army builders have their way, it sure as hell does. I’m holding out hope for a Python Patrol Viper.

The Baroness has a cowgirl stance.

It’s from Destro… don’t ask.

Everyone else probably finds the Snake Eyes boring, but I think it’s probably the coolest one we will ever have. That issue where the random Eskimo gave him that Skull necklace rocked.

A bikini and all those articulation cuts would NOT be a pretty combo.

Monte, that’s with the assumption that they made a new body sculpt and didn’t do a Marvel legends barely there mess.

The cartoon-style Cobra Commander pisses me off - that was going to be OAFE’s April Fools Day joke, but now they’re doing it for real…

Is it me or does anyone else find it stupid that they re-reease the wave 4 Cobra Commander amd just add one piece of equipment to the exact same figure?
