Halo Wars Figures Invading in February
McFarlane Toys has announced that the anticipated Halo tie-in figures from the upcoming Halo Wars video game are due to hit retailers in February. Not all stores are going to get them, in fact their websites only list Toys ‘R’ Us, GameStop and Blockbuster as their current retail partners. The figures will come in packs of three 2 1/2″ scale figures that will be either be multicolored UNSC troops or Covenant bad asses.
SET 1: UNSC TROOPS (Campaign)
3 Spartans (with assault rifles)
SET 2: UNSC TROOPS (Blue)
1 Spartan (with assault rifle)
1 Marine Infantry (with assault rifle)
1 Spartan (with dual magnums)
SET 3: UNSC TROOPS (Red)
1 Spartan (with dual magnums)
1 Spartan (with assault rifle)
1 Marine Infantry (with assault rifle)
SET 4: COVENANT TROOPS (Purple)
2 Elites (with Plasma rifles)
1 Grunt (with Needler)
To make things harder on consumers, but better for retailers the sets will be sold at different stores exclusively. Who is due to get what will be reveled later.
These three packs are neat and all, but I’d like to see some carry over with McFarlane’s regular line. It is the perfect excuse to make some Halo 1 inspired figures in their regular line-up. Plus, I’ve never been that big on figures of this nature, except for maybe some of the small scale Star Wars Unleashed figures.
And remember kids, Halo Wars is the RTS game coming out for the 360 and would be the perfect gift to give that special blogger in your life.
