Happy Thanksgiving ‘08 From ToyBender!

In the United States it is Thanksgiving today, the day where we eat lots of food and hear myths about how the pilgrims and the native Americans were the best of friends. I figured that today would be the perfect day to think about the things I’m thankful for, which has become an annual ToyBender tradition. Now in no particular order, what I’m thankful for in 2008:
1. Poe Ghostal: He’s a swell chap.
2. You readers and those of you who comment: Thanks for putting up with me.
3. My wife: Thanks for being a helper when it comes to looking for toys and not being a bag about the fact that I collect them.
4. Mattel: Thanks for bringing He-Man back and for giving toy collectors another reason to argue.
5. Hasbro: Holy G.I. Joe awesome. Keep bringing it please, especially after the movie tanks. We’ll need good Joes moe than ever.
6. My parents: The Lego Dropship sent for my birthday is totally awesome.
7. Sony: I’m in love with Blu-Ray. If I wasn’t already married, I’d get hitched to the format.
8. My friends: Who bought me the PS3 for a wedding present so I can watch jizztastic Blu-Ray movies.
9. Pornography: For always being there when I need you the most.
10. Krpykrwly of WUMB: Sweet chickens in heat, krpykrwly is awesome. First the new banner, then a logo that will be revealed shortly.
So what are y’all thankful for?
See previous Thanksgiving posts here and here.
*If I missed anyone, I’m sorry.

My wife, for letting me get the Target Ultimate Battle Pack for Christmas.
BBTS, for sending me the Sky Hawk and Water Moccasin already (or in the parlance of our times, Ghost Hawk and Sting Raider…wtf?)
Hasbro, for the obvious.
Toybender, Broca Blutch and Smash the State for providing READABLE stuff about toys on the internets, as opposed to the rest of the crap written by the slack jawed multitudes. I should probably check out some of the other blogs you link to.
And I’m thankful for working in a recession proof industry.
