Happy Thanksgiving From ToyBender

Word up, peeps. If you’re reading this it must mean that you’re probably either bored of your annoying relatives or are in a food induced stupor. Either way, I welcome you. I figured that I’d skip the usual ballsack jokes and do something I did last year at this time, I would write what I was thankful for in the toy related world in no particular order.
1) ToyFare for rocking like a hurrican. Ya ya ya ya ya ya!
2) Rick Marshall (formerly of WizardUniverse.com) for giving me a shot at covering a couple of stories at Comicon.
3) You readers, without you there would be no blog. Without a blog I’d be playing a lot more Xbox.
4) My fellow nerd bloggers/website owners Great White Snark, Braxcave, Fortress of Testicular Fortitude, OAFE, Old Man Musings, Unleaded Logic, and most recently Paste Pot Pete. Thanks for the link love and for being awesome.*
5) Hasbro: Thanks for another great year of making me spend money that I didn’t want to spend. Seriously, these G.I. Joe figures rock. Now let’s make it so I can find what figures I want when I go to the store.
6) Microsoft and Bungie: Without Halo 3 then there would be no sweet McFarlane Halo 3 toys coming out.
7) McFarlane Toys: See above.
8.) My day job: Sure they put me through hell, but my employers get me the dough I need to keep buying toys. Hell yeah!
9) Target for being the only store in town I’ve found single carded G.I. Joes. Screw you Wal-Mart!
10) Hollywood for not making a live action Go-Bots film… yet.
11) My fiancee: Thanks for enabling my toy collecting habit and not hindering it. Wait, that might not be a good thing…
So what are you guys and gals thankful for?
*If I missed anyone I’m sorry. It’s late here and I’m jonesen for more Xbox action.

I’d like to thank you in advance for playing Xbox Live with me when I finally get my hands on a console.

I am thankful for 25th Anniversary Joes, for a wife who doesn’t complain too much about me collecting them, and that the new Hasbro Marvel Legends seem to be improving by leaps and bounds over the first two waves.

I’m thankful that I don’t have to go out and elbow women in the face on Black Friday, because none of the stores have any worthwhile sales…

Wait, so you’re engaged too? Congrats!
My fiancee and I just got engaged last August, and we settled on a wedding date and location over Thanksgiving break. And yes, my fiancee is awesomely tolerant of my habit too.
