Hasbro’s Cloverfield Monster with Pics!
In case you haven’t seen yet, last week the 99 dollar Cloverfield monster was revealed on HasbroToyShop.com. Below is only one of the images, head on over there to see a couple more.

God, that thing is hideous. The monster design worked well for the film, but there’s no way that spindly legged thing could even last one second against a real giant monster like Godzilla.
Will it sell big for Hasbro ToyShop or will it be a big flop? It’s really hard to say. I know a lot of people (including myself) really liked the film, but I don’t like it enough to plunk down a hundred dollars for a massive toy of a really ugly creature.

Yeah, as awesome as the monster was in the movie, he is rather disappointing in toy form.

I was so excited when Hasbro sent out the e-mail about having the toy of the Cloverfield monster but as the above commenter said, it’s pretty disappointing in reality.

dude, don’t put the big monster picture on the front page! Spoilery things go behind the jump…

Indeed. Way to crush yo’s first viewing of Cloverfield , Paul.
Anyway, I don’t remember it being so white. A $100 seems a little much, too.

If you haven’t seen the film yet, then that’s not my fault. The movie has been out like a month? These days if you want to avoid film spoilers, you pretty much have to see the movie the first week or so.

Plus, this is hardly spoilerific, since it only vaguely does justice to the creature in the movie, which was much more… substantial. I don’t recall the limbs being that spindly, either.

pfft - Cloverfield isn’t worth seeing in the theatre. And I’m not saying don’t put its picture in the story, just don’t put it above the fold…

Well, I don’t really see the problem here. I understand where you are coming from I suppose, but for me the spoiler timer has expired. Hey, at least I didn’t tell you all the main characters turn into robots at the end.
Oh damn…

Remember when the government revealed that the monster was the result of a top-secret experiment gone awry? That was awesome.

Be that as it may, it still doesn’t need to be out front…
