He-Mans A-Go-Go
Mattel’s new He-Mans, I mean Masters of the Universe, are going pretty strong. At the New York Comic Con they showed of several new figures that certainly got me excited.
Man-at-Arms

I’m really digging this Man-at-Arms, because they did the fans a service by including both his “cartoon” head and the head that came on the toy. Man-at-Arms is one of those toys that holds a special place for me, because he’s one of the first action figures I remember getting and he as certainly my first Masters of the Universe figure. In other words, I hope this guy will someday be mine.
Hordak

Now I don’t want to hear that crap about how the 2002 line was the end all be all and Hordak was so much more awesome. Screw that noise. This Hordak rules.
Teela

Teela is looking friggen awesome here as a prototype. I never really cared for her on the cartoon, but I always loved the snake armor on the toy.
Some cool Masters of the Universe news that came out of the con is:
- 2010 is the year of Battle Cat!
- There will be a bonus figure available in some months which includes simple repaints or re-releases of figures that have already sold out.
- There might be a direct to DVD feature in the future.
Damn that’s some cool news. Long live He-Mans!
Thanks to Poe Ghostal for the info, Toy News International for the pictures.

I want Hordak… and F*** they’re sold out of Skeletors. Those 2 bastards were why I watched MOTU and She-Ra

Wow, He-Man is still going strong. Thats so awesome. I still got my old toys hidden in a box at home, with the old castle. This post brought back so many memories!

It’s not really “still” going strong. It went strong until about 1987, then stated again in 2002 for a few years, and now is… this.
At least this Hordak can move. He may be lamer than Paul’s attempts to convince us DC Infinite Heroes are worth buying, but he’s got joints, and you can’t fault that…

That Hordak is awesome, as is Man-at-Arms, but I’m really not sure about that Teela, she looks a tad manly - will have to wait and see if the paint job removes the manliness.
