I don’t know, fly casual!

Ahhh just what every white trash nerd needs, the Imperial Shuttle collector’s plate.
The Imperial Shuttle has got class. In fact, it was one of my favorite toys as a child. No, I wasn’t a spoiled rich jerk kind of kid like the one that had all the transformers you ever wanted and wouldn’t let you play with them. Instead, I managed to get my grubby middle class hands on a shuttle when Star Wars was on the verge of going out of style and big discounts were being taken on all the remaining figures and vehicles. Clearance toys were my childhood forte.
What is great about the Imperial Shuttle is that it is huge. It can fit two figures in the front cockpit and a few more can sit in the back. The wing size alone makes this a toy you want to play with in a bigger room or outside so you can get the full effect of flying this sucker all around. To even further that effect, the front landing gear is a handle to assist in your space adventures. It even has a trigger to lower the wings in order to simulate taking off and flying away on an important mission to bitch out your Death Star project manager.
For all of those that didn’t get to have one of the greatest Star Wars vehicles, rejoice! SirStevesGuide.com posted some info on a new version of the shuttle that’s a Target exclusive. (Warning: The Target link they have on the post is not working. Did someone at Target make a boo boo?).
The thing I found the most interesting about this version is its price. It was listed at 59.66, making it easily one of the most affordable of the recent Star Wars vehicles considering its size. I got an FAO Schwartz exclusive shuttle for around a hundred bucks a few years ago. If all this information is correct, I don’t know how you wouldn’t buy one of these things.
Hell, I’d even buy one to replace the lost and broken parts on my classic shuttle lost to all those wonderful shuttle missions of yore.

Does a plate really constitute as a toy? I mean, what else can you do with a plate besides hang it up or eat on it?

You could play Frisbee with it, but I’d hate to do it with an Imperial Shuttle plate!
I, too, got the Imperial Shuttle when I was younger, and it’s really beat up now. Glad to see there’s going to another one released!

I never had the Shuttle. The only space vehicle I had was the Milenium Falcon. That was an excellent toy as well. I’ve got shuttle envy.

Oh I had the Falcon too Keith. I was going to do an update sometime talking about how great it was. If you can get your kiddies one of these new ones, maybe they’ll let you play with it. heh In the meantime it looks like Gayle and I are in the cool club.
I just put the plate on there, because I think its simply hilarious.

Even with one, I’m not sure I’ll ever qualify for any ‘cool club’ anywhere.
But the kids would love it. They already play with my old AT-AT and falcon. they don’t seem to mind that most of the peices are missing.
Shuttle crafts are the Limo of space, baby. they are sooo Money.

Heck ya my man. That shuttle was Vader and Palpatine’s luxury ride.
You know I have three of the Falcon reissues for verying reasons? They keep making it ever few years and I keep getting them somehow.
I also have two of the AT ATS. They just reissued it at Toys R Us, but its like 90 bucks. Talk about over priced!

King Nerd you mean? I MAY have a special update to show you just how nerdy I am after this weekend. I hope it works out. Yes, this is a teaser. I hope everything works out.
Yeah, my third Falcon I got just to open, it was in a beat up box and I got it from a dealer at a convention for 20 bucks. It worked out nicely. How could you not go for that kind of deal, I ask?
I also ended up with two at ats because I found one at a con for cheap and another on super clearance. you just have to monitor the discount sections and go to cons for this stuff, I guess.
