Indiana Jones Still Getting the Shaft
On a routine stop at Wal-Mart last night I stopped in the action figure aisle and found a cart full of boxes. Since there were no employees around and the top box in the cart was opened and labeled “Hasbro action figures”, I figured that it was my duty as an action figure collector and the coolest toy blogger ever to see what was in this box. Much to my surprise, it was full of Indiana Jones figures with the first figure I pulled out being Dr. Henry Jones Sr. My excitement didn’t last long, because it turned into anger in seconds.
What was wrong you ask? Well, aside from Dr. Henry Jones Sr. the case of twelve figures contained no more than three Last Crusade figures (Henry Jones Sr., Young Indy, and Indy with sub machine gun). The rest of the case was packed with the same friggen figures that have been clogging store shelves from day one like the Ugha Warrior and Jar Jar Williams. Why in the hell are these figures still arriving in stores? Isn’t the fact that the line is almost flat lining enough due to all the figures clogging hooks for Hasbro to revise their cases to include figures that people actually want to buy?
I realize I may sound a bit like the super angry and annoying nerd here, but why didn’t the case contain a Dr. Elsa Schneider and a Grail Knight? It’s so annoying to not find figures that I want because of all the garbage collecting dust in their place. To see a whole case that is untouched not contain an assortment of figures and instead contain a bunch of turds is like an insult.

Almost flatlining? What is this almost? Isn’t it commonly accepted that the line is dead? In the Q&A’s Hasbro practically taunts us with all the items that “won’t make it to retail” because their planning was so awful.
I doubt I’ll ever see Vogel or Elsa (the two other figures I want) in a store, and you can just forget the Temple of Doom figures. Most depressing of all, the Toht with melting face will never see the light of day. Sad.

Yeah, it is pretty disappointing to not even be able to find the second wave of figures leaving pretty much no hope of finding the third wave of figures.

@jumper11: Ha! I was wondering when someone was going to break that out again. Hilarious.

I hope in that comment you can see the sadness in my soul.
I don’t like Shia labouf(?), I didn’t like the movie, although, I love the other Indy flicks. The fact that such great toys are lost, wasted rather, blows wicked donkey balls.
If I won the lottery, I would buy vast amounts of the Mutt toy, replace them with old milk and return them.
The Indy crew at Hasbro rode the little bus to work.

I’m still bouncing around, But I do have all the LC, KOTCS, Raiders, and a couple of the TOD figures.
Sadly I dont even have a full set of TOD for myself yet. Just 4 of the 6, Still missing the Guard and Mola.
Only have extras of TOD Indy and Willie. I’m going to try a few more locations to hopefully score some more.
