Kickassery in the Summer Lego Catalog: Part 1
If there’s one thing I like in my Lego catalogs it is the loads of kickassery they cram into every edition. This latest catalog is no different and in fact it’s even better than usual because of the addition of over 90 new Lego items. Since we don’t have anything better to do, let’s take a look at some of the best stuff in this catalog.
I have a good eye for cool and let me tell you, this cover featuring the new Mars Mission line is cooler than Frank Sinatra riding a dinosaur:
All the new Mars Mission sets are featured in here, but my to favorites are the drop ship looking … Drop Ship and the tank with little pincher arms.
Lego isn’t content just to make kick ass human verses alien sets though, they’ve also got some great human vs. skeleton and evil wizard mega-sets that would give the most war enraged barbarian a boner.
When I look at the above picture, I hear a thousand electric guitars playing.
This skull shaped castle is really kickass, but on a smaller scale. You know, nothing good ever comes out of building a skull shaped castle. Think about it, you’ve never seen a skull shaped animal shelter or free clinic have you?
Finally, there’s a really great horse drawn prison carriage that’s run by skeletons and is drawn by undead skeleton horses. I apologize if this picture is a little small, the blogging overlords have dictated that Toy Bender’s size be small enough to fit the monitors of people reading this blog in 1986. I guess you can count yourself lucky though, if the image were any larger you might get eye blisters.
That’s all for now. In part two I will cover the Batman and Star Wars awesome found in the pages of the 2007 Summer Lego catalog.

Yep, I’m glad they started making them again (at least of the non-Star Wars type)
