Lazy Post Friday! MASK Edition

by Paul

It’s Friday and I’m super lazy! In order to do the least amount of work possible, I figured we could watch some YouTube videos or something and call it a post. How’s about it?

Since everyone has got MASK on the mind, I figure we should check out the cartoon’s opening:

Everything about that show was awesome, except for that stupid scooter robot. Did anyone like that guy?

Now how about a trailer for a live action MASK movie done in a language you probably don’t understand!?

How truly, truly awesome. It looks better than what the G.I. Joe movie promises to be.

Are there any of you here who had MASK toys? I never had any, but that didn’t stop me from thinking that they were friggen awesome to the max. MASK was one of those toylines that I couldn’t get much from, because I my parent’s buying dollars were dedicated to Star Wars, G.I. Joe, and any clearance items. Not having ever come across MASK on clearance, I was out of luck. My cousin who I was pretty close with had a few of the smaller vehicle sets, so I got to play with them a bit. I still feel like I missed out a little. If I ever see the transforming Camaro for a decent price and in really good shape I might have to get one.

um…you do realize that that mask movie video is fake right? They had parts of James bond and an X-men movie edited in it.

  2. Paul Says:

No way! I TOTALLY THOUGHT IT WAS REAL!

    Yes Crazy, that’s sarcasm.

  3. crazyfellow1 Says:

lol, your smarter than I thought :)

  4. Paul Says:

Well, maybe just a tiny bit.

Damn you you lazy bastard! You even told me ahead of time how lazy you were feeling and what you were going to do… and you did it… over 35 minutes ago!

    DAMN YOU!

Give it enough time and someone will probably decide M.A.S.K. will make a good movie…

I had a few M.A.S.K. toys as a kid. I think between me and my brother we had Matt Tracker and his car, the jeep with the boat in it, the race car that turned into a plane and some truck with a missile launcher in it.

  7. Sam Says:

I hated T-Bot. Blah! But, I loved me some M.A.S.K. and had a number of the toys. Including T-Bot…
But it was only because nothing else was available for purchase, I swear!

  8. Monte Says:

Somewhere in the distant reaches of the internet there is slash fiction starring T-Bot.

I had a good bit of the MASK crew. The toys were great and took a beating rather well. They were awesome, and sometimes I’d use my MASK figures to interact with my Transformers being that they were kind of inscale. The Rhino was absolutely awesome, if you can find one on eBay you should grab it up.

Thanks for sharing. Brings back a lot of good memories. I liked the Switchblade vehicle.

  11. yo go re Says:

Bob. T-BOB. And yes, I liked him. I even had the T-Bob toy…

  12. Sam Says:

    Ah yes, it was T-BOB.
Great, now I’m going to have a slasher flick nightmare now that I know his true name…
