Lego at SDCC 2007

Lego’s store, I mean booth, made an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con and while I’d seen mostly everything there at Star Wars Celebration IV (the booth was almost exactly the same except a little larger), they did have a few things worth noting.
About the only new Lego sets that I haven’t seen in store shelves yet was there. Both the upcoming AT-At (that really walks) and Hoth Rebel base were displayed on a small table.
Because San Diego Comic-Con covers more than just Star Wars, the Lego statues were a bit more diverse. If you like Bionical, there was one huge ass character there.

The coolest statue there was of Batman. It pretty much beat the hell out of any of the Star Wars ones I’ve seen so far.

One of the coolest things at the booth was a Star Wars mural that was made out of Legos. Due to the massive crowd in the booth, it was nearly impossible getting a good picture of the thing. Here are two images to give you an idea of what it looked like.

*Thanks to Shawn for providing his pic of the Star Wars mural.

That Batman Statue and Star Wars mural are both Awesome. How big was the Star Wars mural??

Hmmm it was a few feet across. It wasn’t overly giant, but it was hard to take a picture because of all the people in the booth. Maybe six feet across or more? I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.

I somehow missed the AT-AT and the mural while I was there. Good catch.
