Man Harbors Decepticon… Lawmen Pissed They Can’t Arrest Him

According to the Associated Press, a Los Vegas man took one kick ass mustang and turned it into a replica of Barricade from the live action Transformers film. Jessie Vigil made customized his car after returning home from Iraq (and the story mentions that he’s disabled in passing) and wanted to spoil the hell out of his son.
The car isn’t an exact replica, but it’s pretty damn close. The original was a Saleen Mustang and if you don’t know anything about cars just know this, Saleen Mustangs are really fugging expensive. The guy even has a fake police light bar up on top, something you don’t see normally on the road.
What’s interesting about the AP story is that it almost focuses entirely on the legality of the car. While it isn’t exactly illegal, the local law enforcement really frowns the hell out of having a car that looks just like a cop car, albeit one kick ass cop car. If Vigil were to pretend to be a cop and pull people over then he’d be in trouble, but otherwise he’s 100% legal in his sweet ass ride. I’d say it would be great to ride around in a Decepticon film star, but it’s got to be damned annoying having people slow down all around you when you’re on the highway and to be randomly attacked by well meaning Autobots.
In order to salute such a cool car/Transformer I’m going to do something a bit different. For serving our country and having one of the coolest cars around Jessie Vigil, I present to you a cold one and two booth babes*:

*This badly Photoshoped image is actually the visual punchline to a joke I made on Digital Monkey Box’s booth babe’s section. I suggest you go over there and check it out!

I remember seeing that car on the news when the brouhaha got started. Can you imagine your dad being that unspeakably cool? “Oh, you liked that movie we saw? Well, okay, here: have it in your real life.”

Every day on my way to work I see an old G1-style Freightliner truck thats for sale, and it looks exactly like G1 Prime. If I had a spare $60,000 I would buy it in a heartbeat and customize it into a Pimped out Prime.
