Marauder inc.: Custom Guns for Your Figures
Do you need an R.P.G. for your Secret Wars Spider-Man? Or how about a bunch of Aliens pulse rifles for your vast Visionaries collection? Well, look no further than Marauder Inc. a dealer dedicated to fulfilling your crazy lust for 3 3/4th scale action figure customized weapons.
I discovered these guys while trolling around on various message boards and I basically went ape shit when I saw all the wonderful guns they make for my favorite scale of toys. Sweet Jebus, they even have folding chairs for sale. There’s nothing better than introducing the element of the mundane to your toy collection. I’m already beginning to think that I need to have a Clone Trooper graduation ceremony dio. And speaking of dioramas, some other neat stuff to help you create your action figure dioramas like blackboards, laptops, and cell phones.
In order to best serve you, the reader, I decided to go ahead and order some of these guns to see what I’d get. Ordering is fairly simple and what I really liked is that you can pay via Paypal. I know a lot of people hate or distrust Paypal, but I’ve got a fair amount of cash in there from eBay sales so it’s easily accessible for me. Anyway, I ordered a nice round selection of weapons. I got two pulse rifle looking guns, one sci-fi gun that looked kind of neat, a rifle from Metal Gear Solid, the Man From U.N.C.L.E./Megatron pistol, an old school Tommy Gun, and a few miscellaneous “real world” rifles.

The stuff came very quickly, considering that Marauder ships from almost the exact opposite side of the U.S. from where I live. The packaging was also very nice, with everything sealed up in tiny bags.
My first impression of the weapons was that were a little bit smaller than I imagined them, but they don’t look bad in the overall scheme of things. Just don’t expect some of these weapons to have that larger than life quality of some of the bigger sized weapons that come with the figures.

PICKY NERD ALERT: I really, really hate being this picky, but the one thing that was a tad disappointing in the modified p.38 (Man from U.N.C.L.E./Megatron) was that the stock is pretty short. Here’s Cobra Commander with the pistol to demonstrate:

Yes, I’m that guy right now.
Overall though, these weapons get the Toy Bender Mushroom Stamp of Approval if you have to arm an army of action figures.
*Yes, I realize my photos suck.
**By the way, this wasn’t paid for in any way by Marauder. I just like their stuff. However, I wouldn’t turn down stacks of cash shoved at me… hint… hint…

Cool, I wish there were something like this available when I was a kid, losing little GI Joe guns in all the dark corners of my room.

Hells yeah it was the worst. That and a lot of parents don’t care how much a little accessory means to you and it just ends up in a vacuum or something. I remember having to use tooth picks for lightsabers, because I lost all of mine.

Yeah, I only have a couple of my original Star Wars weapons from when I was a kid. Although I don’t think I ever resorted to toothpicks for lightsabers…
