Mark Boudreaux, My Hero
Boston.com recently wrote about a man that had more of an effect on my life than I’d ever guess. That man is Mark Boudreaux and he’s the coolest man in the world. Why? He’s been designing Star Wars toys since 1977. Not only did he have a hand in conceiving the classic Millennium Falcon, but he worked on the Slave 1 toy as well as designing the new kick ass big Millennium Falcon and AT-TE.
This muscled god of toy design (at least according to Google Image search and that thing is never wrong) was immortalized as an action figure. You might have seen it, it was the Endor Rebel soldier released a few years ago that many people confused as being based on Tom Green. I don’t think that’s enough. I’m ready to make a golden calf in his honor. That reminds me, ToyFare if you are listening here’s a candidate for your hall of fame!

I saw that article in the Globe (my local paper) and had been planning to do a write-up myself…and haven’t gotten around to it yet.
