Marvel Legends Super Spotlight

Marvel Legends, we hardly knew you. Well, we knew you for the last several years and 14 series of figures, but you get my drift. I’m shedding a tear as I look at these pics of the last of the Toybiz Marvel Legends figures before Hasbro gets their monolithic hands on the line. I’m not sure if this is the best way to end things, but it’s not too shabby. It’s nice to see a Moon Knight that looks almost as good as the Marvel Select version that runs for 18 bucks in most comic shops. (That’s about 8 bucks more than a normal price for a Marvel Legends figure for those of you too cool to go to a comic book store and breathe the same nerdy air as the rest of us.) It’s also cool to see fan favorites like Beta-Ray Bill and both versions of Spider-Woman.
The build-a-figure thing is sort of a stretch right now, isn’t it? When you’re down to Modak you might as well give it up. He looks like he’s in the throes of some serious stomach ailment.

Modak, dude. You’ve eaten too many egg rolls from Panda Express again. How many times are you going to keep doing this to yourself? You need to cut back. Seriously, don’t you have any restraint?
Somebody, help an evil brotha out and get him some Pepto!

He looks a little constipated to me. Boy’s gonna blow a hemmaroid if he ain’t careful.
Never did the Marvel figures. they didn’t appeal to me the way the McFarlane figurs did. I’ll admit it. I’m a toy bigot. Great post.

Great minds think alike, Keith! I was also thinking constipated when I viewed this figure. Looks like he needs Ex-Lax more than Pepto, Paul.
I never did Marvel figures either. I’ve always pretty much confined my toy collecting to the sci-fi and horror genres (and even those are too much to handle, financially!). My brother has collected quite a few Marvel and McFarlane figures over the years, though, to supplement his comic book collection. He’s not particularly happy with Hasbro taking over, either!

Yeah, but if you look at the picture in the link, you’ll see fire coming from the bottom of his chair. The figure was sculpted in that brief period between not being able to go and sweet relief. Wow, that’s gross.
I think Hasbro might do a good job, I like what they’ve done with Star Wars on the whole after they got it from Kenner.
Sorry Keith, Spiderman will kick Spawn’s ass any day of the week.

I’m not saying I don’t like marcel characters, just never enjoyed the figures that much. Funny you mention it, but Spiderman is probably the only Marvel figure I have.

lol. I was just giving you crap anyway. Did you know they were going to do another Batman/Spawn crossover? I heard they were busting McFarlane out of artistic retirment for it. Or I could have all my facts wrong.
