Marvel Universe Wave Five is Underwhelming

Marvel Universe wave five info is out and it’s a bit underwhelming overall. Fans of Marvel Comics super heroes will be able to finally get their hands on another villain in the classic looking Electro. I realize there’s a lot of heroes that people want, but why the huge lack of villains? More villains please!
Out of all the figures int his wave I would like to get my hands on a Guardian. I know nothing about him, but I always really dug the Canadian costumes that about four heroes have variations of. Other than that, I really don’t need a modern Sub-Mariner, a refill of Spider-Man, or a repaint of Iron Man. In fact, the repaint bothers me because when I saw that there was going to be a Silver Centurion Iron Man I didn’t think he was going to be a lazy repaint. I want the Silver Centurion Iron Man, not that horrid looking current armor in any form.

I rather like the modern armor, BUT I agree that if you’re going to sell it as “Silver Centurion” it should damn well look more like the Silver Centurion armor.
Definitely don’t need another Spidey, Guardian I can take or leave, Electro is too silly not to get, and man, how could I not want Namor? Especially since eventually there will be a Sue Storm for him to bang right under Reed’s stretchy nose.

It could have at least come with a silly rocket pack for the Silver Centurion Iron Man. I swear Marvel Universe would do well to at least attempt to emulate marvel legends if its going to replace them.

It really bugs me that neither Hasbro nor Mattel can apparently tell the difference between a series and a wave. It’s like nails on a chalkboard…

Electro is the only one of the bunch that I want. I’d also like a classic Vulture, please.

Um, yo go re, what exactly would the difference between a “series” and a “wave” be? Are you insisting that a “wave” is whatever’s packed in the case and the series are the figures that have first arrived in that case, I guess?

Guardian! Sow us Canucks some love, eh?

Line > Series > Wave
“Spawn” is a line of toys.
“Spawn 22″ is a series in the Spawn line.
Any running changes made to the figures in Spawn Series 22 would come in a later wave.
DC Universe Classics Series 7 shipped in two waves: one with Big Barda, one without. It’s not one wave, it’s one series with two waves. Unless they’re trying to claim that “DC Universe” is a line and “Classics” is a series with numbered waves, which is just stupid.
Basically, what Hasbro calls a wave is a series, and what Hasbro calls a “revision” is a wave. Pencils in the eardrums…

I like seeing the Silver Centurion armor as variants of different armors. To me that’s one of the three definative Iron Man armors. So while I hope a real one comes down the pike, I don’t mind a few jackleg versions. Helps boost up the armory anyway and I kind of feel like Tony would have a Silver Centurion version of all his armors. I dunno why, I just do.
I like the wave, sans Spiderman. I have no need for him.

Similarly, all his armors should have a “stealth” counterpart, too. Just because I want to see “Stealth Hulkbuster”…

Yeah, would it kill them to make some more villains? How has the line gone to wave 5 with Dr. Doom? Or even more shockingly, Venom? Yeah, Toy Biz made them that scale once, but I have the Superhero Ho’down Venom and he really blows.
Electro, he’s a second tier Spidey foe at best.
Man, if I actually collected this line I would really be annoyed.
