McFarlane Toys Exclusive Camo Spartan
Just when I start dipping into my crappy emergency posts for something… anything for you guys, I find out that McFarlane toys has a new Halo figure update. Sweet.For their Collector’s Club exclusive figure, they’ve got an exclusive “camouflaged” Spartan in EVA armor:
A lot of you have expressed disinterest in clear figures after I said how enamored with them that I was. Okay, maybe just one person did but I didn’t get a lot of comments back then. Halo is one of the very few toy licenses that really can get away with a clear figure, since active camo is such an integral part of multiplayer.
This guy comes with both grenades and an assault rifle. I bet anything that they’re going to make eighteen variants of this figure with different weapons as store exclusives. It’s what JoyRide used to do and I’m thinking that McFarlane just might do the same. Call it a hunch or wishful thinking. I’d really enjoy an active camo Spartan with a shotgun. Hey, it’s my favorite camo/weapon combo.

I’m with you Paul! Clear figures kick-ass! One of my favorite things to do is look through them for the various anomalies (particles, shavings)that make it into the final toy. The transparent Lord of the Rings figures were full of them. …Aside from that, they’re also great to backlight!
Rock-On! There needs to be a transparent LEGO mini-fig.

You probably weren’t aware of McFarlane Toys’ pre-orders because they just started doing it with this Spartan. It’s great that they did, otherwise the figure would probably sell out to re-sellers before dedicated fans could get it. I’ve missed out on a couple of older Spawn exclusives because I just forgot the exact date it would be available. Now I’m guaranteed at least one, possibly two.

Ah..that makes sense then, but yes I’m glad I’m guaranteed one too. I’ll never forget how nervous I was at comic con thinking I may not get one of those exclusive AC Chiefs for Halo 2…now I don’t need to worry as much.
