McFarlane Toys Halo 3 Figures Seen in the Wild
Just a quick update for you all to let you know that I personally saw some of the McFarlane Halo 3 figures for sale this weekend. No not at a retail store, but at a booth at the San Francisco Wondercon. Like an idiot I didn’t take a picture, but trust me the picture of the figures in the box suffices since there really wasn’t anything to see that hasn’t been put on the internet yet.

Being a toy blogger writer I really felt like I should have bought one to talk about it, but the guy selling them wanted fifteen bucks to eighteen dollars for them depending on the figure. Since I was already low on cash, I decided to pass them up. Afterwards I felt like it was a little irresponsible not to buy one, because then I could have had some blurry pictures of Master Chief riding My Little Ponies for you all to see. Still, at the time I thought that I could wait until there’s a bazillion of them in stores and save myself the extra gouging.
I can tell you that the figures look as good in person as they do in the pictures. The only thing that I did notice was that even though this was the second time I’ve laid eyes on the figures, there’s still a little shock at seeing how small they are. My brain is still wired for Joy Ride’s larger scale, I suppose. Otherwise they look pretty good.

These are actually shipping to some stores now, Gamestop says the toys now ship in twenty four hours and one of the toys shops I buy from recently got them in stock.
I’ll snap some pics as I ordered a load of em and I should be getting them soon.

I just saw an end cap full of these little buggers at Wal-Mart in Northern Kentucky, Sunday.

Now I don’t feel so bad about not buying this. I guess I’ll have to keep my eyes open, but with my toy buying luck I won’t see them for five months.

Locally I never have much luck either, I have to drive an hour out to really find them. I had 5 stores on Saturday and couldn’t find them. Thank god the store I order my stuff from is an hour away, it only takes a day for me to get my stuff via shipping then.

Wow. Now I’m disappointed not to have seen any pics of Master Chief riding a My Little Pony. Don’t dangle stuff like that in front of us if you’re not going to follow through, Paul. God.

I checked the magic Toys R Us and my local Wal-Mart here in the Boston area for these…no dice.
I’m also on the lookout for the Iron Man movie figures–I hear those have started hitting. If anyone finds an Iron Monger, nab one for me, please. I have a feeling he’s going to be shortpacked.
I also demand a photo of the Chief riding a MLP.

What’s really surprising about these is how SMALL they are! I saw the WM endcap tonight, and the figures are cool, but they seem so tiny. At least they’re less than ten bucks…

I saw these at Wal-Mart last night and they had a lot of them. They are a lot smaller than I expected.
