McFarlane Toys Update: Sports Style!

If you would have told me a month ago that I’d give a crap about any sort of sports related toy I wouldn’t have believed you.

Well, I just read that the McFarlane Collector’s Club is going to sell an enormous hockey rink December 4th. This is one of the coolest accessories/playsets I’ve seen in a long time. Like most of McFarlane’s stuff, it looks like its a real honest to god hockey rink shrunken down to action figure size. The rink has over 200 peg holes to position your favorite hockey players doing what they do best. This thing is so big that it’s almost as large as Todd McFarlane’s ego. Almost.

Of course, as a Grade A Nerd I’d put Marvel Legends figures on it for a super powered battle on the ice, or I’d have a real Canadian style showdown between Aliens and Predators. I could even reinact my favorite Ice Capade adventures while my parents bury their shame deep down inside.

    Indeed. Now I just have to save up so I can buy two of these things to make a complete ice rink.

    LOL. Well, I’d like to buy two but I don’t have the cash right now. Plus, I have a feeling that once I set it up then I’d think it was cool for a few days and then get tired of it when I got the next new Transformer or something hehe
