More Mattel Infinite Heroes Figures

by

I realize that this news is fairly old, but I’d wanted to talk about it before and didn’t get the chance. Mattel released info a few weeks ago on their upcoming figures in the Infinite Heroes 3 3/4ths inch scale figure line. While some of the picks on the list found at Action-Figure.com have already been announced or released previously, there’s some tantalizing figure choices in the selection that I’d want including Black Canary, Dr. Fate, The Spectre, Black Adam, Mary Marvel, and The Brain (not of Pinky and the Brain). This is of course with the attached “Why oh why did they make the male figures so sucky? This line would have been so much more spectacular if they would have given the figures normal hands” clause.

Fun Fact: Mallah the giant ape there and The Brain (the robot) are lovers, which caused some people to be upset thinking they were a gay couple. Think about that for a moment.

Dr. Fate is really nice and kind of, I dunno, he APPEARS larger than my Guy Gardner. He’s very stoic and the flared gloves give his large fists a more natural look so Fate is actually a very nice DCIH figure.

With the new Marvel Universe figures coming out it looks like its going to be an ironic situation.

Marvel Universe figures are 8 bucks a piece and have superior articulation while DC Infinite Heroes are 6 bucks a piece and feature less articulation. Like an anti-DC Direct/Marvel Legends setup lol

  2. LastBestAngryMan Says:

I only have 3 DCIH figures so far (the Green Arrow 3 pack) and they aren’t great figures, but some look decent. I keep seeing Dr. Fate on the shelves; if I see him again Paul, in light of your had times, would you like me to pick one up and send it on? I’m not offering charity, just maybe payback for reading your blog all the time and never clicking on any ads.

  3. Paul Says:

Esbat, you know I didn’t really think about it that way…

LBM, I’d do whatever you’d asked if you did that. And boy, do I mean WHATEVER!

  4. LBAM Says:

Will do then. Ought to be able to find him at one of my Wal-Marts. I almost bought one, along with Superman and The Specter, two weeks ago. Now I can’t find Superman anywhere.

  5. Kevin Says:

    MONSIEUR MALLAH!

my god i hope they make a morrison-era doom patrol pack. that would be too perfect though.

Now that Mattel is going to be adding more articulation to these little monstrosities, I may end up getting some, finally. Provided they can actually make the sculpts stop sucking, too…
