Star Wars Toy Rumors

Yeah… I couldn’t find any better pictures for this post. Anyway, I recently ran across a few week old list on Reblescum.com that was worth sharing.

The post details some rumored Star Wars figures coming down the pipe. The main rumors surrounding comic two packs include a new Grand Admiral Thrawn release who may come with a Spacetrooper (making one hell of a nice set), Darth Vader with an Imperial Admiral, and maybe a Princess Leia Organa and a Prince Xizor.

Can I make a request? Can we collectively choose to forget that Prince Xizor exists? I don’t think it will be that big of a sacrifice to lose him from our shared Star Wars collected consciousness. I’d have to argue that we’d all be better off for it and once we let him go, it will be much easier to forget that Dash Rendar once pretended to be Han Solo for a little bit. Hell, I’d even argue that we should just erase Shadows of the Empire from history if it wasn’t for the pretty decent Nintendo 64 game.

The Star Wars vehicle rumors at Rebelscum include a V-19 Torrent Starfighter from the original Clone Wars animated series and a big ass Spider Droid.

The V-19 is a damn good looking Star Wars ship, even better is that even though it comes from the Star Wars expanded universe it looks very Star Wars-like. However, I have a hard time believing that it will actually come out, unless it can fit into the twenty dollar price range and it plays any kind of part in the new Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series. Otherwise, Hasbro might not give it the green light for all the fans that want some great new Starfighter action.

GWS, yeah I’m not that hot on the Spider Droid so there wasn’t much I could say about it.

yo go re, I’m sorry for crushing your Shadows of the Empire love. I did like certain aspects of it, but I really don’t like it having a place in Star Wars canon.

  5. yo go re Says:

Well, it’s not like I think Dash Rendar is the greatest character ever created or anything, but the book was good, and did a nice job with what it was supposed to do: fit in between two set stories, and stand as the corner of a merchandising blitz. It’s cetainly not a BAD story…

  6. Paul Says:

I’ll give you that it’s no “Courtship of Princess Leia” or “Attack of the 52nd Death Star like super weapon”. In that respect it’s a really good story.
