Run Logan, Run!
Logan’s Run is one of the greatest films of all time. Here’s a quick list of only a few of the reasons why:

Michael York complete with The Coolest Voice in the WorldTM.

Farrah Fawcett in her prime.

The half crazy Old Man with his cats.

The line, “Sad or not, you’re beautiful. Let’s have sex.”

Box.

Nudity in a PG film.
While the short lived Logan’s Run television series wasn’t as great as the Logan’s Run film, it was a continuation of the sweet ’70s honey that is the Logan’s Run franchise. The Mego Muesum has updated their site with images of an unproduced, but surviving prototype Logan 5 figure from the series. Sweetness unleashed!

Yeah, I realize I don’t have a lot to say about the figure, but damn it, I’ll take any excuse I can to write about Logan’s Run.
toy, toy collecting, action figure, Mego, Logan’s Run, movie toy

I would never admit this face to face with anyone not even family but I have some kind of soft spot for Logans Run, too. I don’t know why but anytime I see it I stop and watch the whole thing. I even read the book, I happened to find it in a used book store either in High School or college can’t remember. I try to pretend tht the affection is because I live in Fort Worth and some of the movie was filmed in the water gardens. However, I have liked this movie since I was like 5 or 6? maybe a few years older. I never knew there were toys. Man, I would have begged my parents to get them for me. They’d been great playmates for the million doller man and bionic women I had back then.

Thanks for stopping by Kari!
.
Well, the only toys they made were unproduced. If I grew up in the time of Logan’s Run (I was a little afterwards) then I’d been all over LR toys if they made them. The movie has that really bad/really good thing going for it.
.
You want to know the rumor I heard? That they are going to make an updated Logan’s Run, based more on the book. If it gets made, there’s a hope for toys!!

Ah, Michael York, another fine British export and actor. You Americans always steal our finest.

I’m sorry Dave, we won him in the draft. I’m sorry but you got Madonna.

Ah yes, Madonna, complete with jaunty burberry cap and a faux cockney accent. What a marvellous deal we got there then

Yep! Thanks for Michael York! See you next draft! hehe

Give me SANCTUARRYYYYYY from Logan’s Run. I most emphatically did not enjoy the movie. Of course, then someone made me watch Zardoz, which is way worse, so I guess there are truly degrees of horrible.

Leslie, I’d like you to go into a corner and think about what you just said.

[...] Pages 38 through 39: I’m sure wrestling fans will enjoy picking a fan choice figure, but since I think wrestling is stupid I’ll skip this. Now before you get mad at me wrestling fans, remember that I’m really into Logan’s Run. [...]
