Show Hasbro Your Lightsaber
Hasbro is really pushing its new spring loaded lightsabers in a big way and they’re currently running a fantastic contest to try to move some of these suckers. The prize? How’s about a trip for four to Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles and a one-of-a-kind chrome Force Action Lightsaber? As a Star Wars Convention veteran, the trip alone is a hell of a prize if you’re a Star Wars fan.
To enter, all you have to do is make a video of yourself using said lightsaber in some creative manner. For the boring official rules go to StarWars.com. Here’s the YouTube promotion video for the contest:
If you enter and win the contest, let me know. I plan on getting some Toy Bender representation at the con. Maybe we can document some of your big pimping lifestyle and make all the lesser nerds jealous… like me.

Lmao, that’s a great video, love the idea of using them as Christmas decorations. ‘Show Hasbro your lightsaber’ could also be a rude euphemism though…hmmm.

And then people wonder why we don’t have “real” lightsabers. This video just proves that we are not ready for such civilized weaponry. For shame…

I agree with DaveP. So much… innuendo. Must… resist… double entendres…

I went a got the manchild a Force FX lightsaber. We skipped the plastic versions. Although this might be a pretty good excuse to go get one….

It may not surprise you, but I have a Force FX saber as well. Which one does your manchild have? I have a generation 1 Darth Vader. I do want the Darth Maul, but I don’t have the cash…

Ethan has the Obi Wan light saber. He would have prefered the Green Return of the Jedi Luke Lightsaber, but it was sold out. He really digs the green ones. I think he equates it with Yoda and Jedi Knight Luke, so he thinks it’s a promotion.

Awesome Keith, that’s one that I wanted but didn’t get. Green was the color of the lightsaber I had when I was a kid. Then it got run over with a car, but not before it was banged up from me hitting everything I could find with it!

When we went to Disney last summer they were having Star Wars Weekends and the Manchild got to be in one of the ‘Jedi training classes’. He got a little certificate saying he was a padawan and all that. He takes his lightsabering very seriously.

That’s friggen awesome. I am officially jealous of your child.
