So Bogus…
If you’ve resigned yourself to buying DC Infinite Heroes because they’re okay enough, but wished they were better then you no doubt have collected a few “anti-monitor” points. What could you get for these points? Possibly some cool mail-away offer? Nope, Mattel revealed you can only redeem them at the San Diego Comic Con.

This is beyond lame and enters the territory of mega bogus. I realize that the San Diego Comic Con is an event attended by many, many nerds and it will no doubt make those going happy, but there’s a lot of people that can’t attend. Having an offer that is this exclusive is utterly pointless to the majority of nerds that can’t make the outing.
The whole con exclusive thing has really gotten out of hand if a point system that’s on every package across the nation is only available for redemption at an event where most of the population cannot attend. I can understand offering a few exclusive figures that will drive everyone nuts, but this is a little ridiculous.

What is the exclusive? A repaint of something?

No word yet. Hopefully nothing good. heh

Nothing good? It’s probably Infinite Heroes related, right? Doesn’t that make “nothing good” redundant?
ZING
Seriously this blows huge balls.

Well if anyone is going I got 3 points I can mail ya.
Also, thanks again Paul for the Power Girl. She’s awesome there standing next to Guy Gardner and Dr. Fate. And thank your wife for cutting out the packaging file card and point for me.
I’m assuming she did it because it was neatly done, exactly how a man would not cut something out.
*flexes as he manly points at his torn off Anti-Monitor points*

Uh I cut it out. I’m only so good at cutting because of G.I. Joe filecards, my man.

Tell the wife to make sure you press her pants with sharper creases, Paula :p

this is another reason why I hate Mattel. can someone please tell me anything good about this company other than they hold rights to DC?

So that Facebook link requires a login, apparently. Still, since this is about Infinite Heroes, are you surprised that Mattel took this route? Everything about this crap-sack of a line is a big “eff you!” to toy fans, so why stop now? Bet there’s be a lottery system and random variants, too…
