Star Wars at SDCC 2007

I can’t believe it, but I completely forgot about my Star Wars Comic-Con coverage. In my defense though, most of my Star Wars load was blown at Star Wars Celebration IV where my extensive coverage of the event basically covered almost everything shown at Comic-con in terms of toys. However, there were a few things worth noting so I’m catching up with them here. (Click on the pics to make them larger)
First, we need to light the clone flares, because there was some clone action:

Some of the coolest figures that I hadn’t seen yet were comic two packs. This was a Wal_Mart exclusive set of clones. What’s really great about this is it features one of the Galactic Marines who isn’t purple, but in a way that just makes him a Snowtrooper. Crap, I bet there’s some sort of edit war on Wikipedia over this right now.
Another clone is a white Clone Commando in this comic two pack, further proving that Hasbro only has to put in a minimal effort into making a figure and I’ll want it. Although, I’d want it a hell of a lot more if they’d just make a Clone Commando with bendable knees already.
Back to Snowtroopers for a minute, Ralph Mcquarrie’s concept Snowtrooper was on display. Since this was probably the only time I’ll ever see this in person, I absorbed all the joy I could from it. Damn 1 per case bull crap.
Fans of the Expanded Universe (I hate you and thank you) will get to see the addition of two new Imperial officers. Who are they? Who cares! They’re evil and evil rules!
The concept General Grievous that’s exclusive to StarWarsToyShop.com was on display. Yep. Look at him there.
I’ve saved the best for last. This is the new AT-RT and it ROCKS. This is one of the few vehicle released in the last few years that I gave a damn about. Way to go Hasbro.

That AT-RT is pretty awesome, I hadn’t seen any pics of that before. Hopefully they will eventually release an AT-TE!!

It is pretty good. I was hoping to get a better pic but none turned out. There’s hope they’ll make an AT-TE if it plays a big role in the Clone Wars cartoon and I bet it will.

You know what that AT-RT needs? Bigger guns.

What else can they release on film?

Actually, It’s an AT-AP (All Terrain Attack Pod), the AT-RT is lighter and a single man walker ridden like a bike.
