Star Wars Celebration IV: The Evil Empire
I hope you were in the mood for some more action figure pics from Star Wars Celebration IV, because here’s the Empire’s representation on the show floor.
First up is an action figure that I’d like to call awesomeness molded into plastic:
This, of course, is the McQuarrie series Snowtrooper. Fuggen excellent!
McQuarrie’s Darth Vader made an appearance. It’s beyond bizarre to see Darth Vader holding a pistol.
The comic book two packs are made a big appearance with several great selections. Here’s Baron Fel who was a member of the 181st TIE squadron, which will also see a Toys R Us exclusive TIE coming out this year. He is going to come packaged with… awww who the hell cares? Baron Fel with removable TIE pilot gear!
In the realm of returning figures is one of my old favorites, the Biker Scout.
Fans demanded him, and now the Dark Trooper makes a return. I can only pray that I’ll see these on the pegs this time, unlike the last time all the E.U. characters came out and the local scalpers snagged all of them.
Darth Vader is now making his holographic debut. I don’t understand the sculpt of this one. Wouldn’t it have been better to use the Darth Vader that has his hands on his belt, since that’s about the only pose he’s in while appearing as a hologram in the film?
Army builders will get to see the return of the Imperial officer, who will be available in variations this time.
Now hold on to your socks, there are a couple of figures coming up that just might blow you away. The upcoming Star Wars: Force Unleashed game had some figure representation at Celebration IV as well. None of the figures had name cards next to them, but I had attended the Force Unleashed panel so I knew who some of them were at least. While the game seems like an excuse for Lucasarts to masturbate on your XBox or PS3, it does give toy collectors the chance to own some really cool figures.
These pics are of Darth Vader… I’m only guessing here, it’s hard to know without a name card. Anyway, this Darth is all kinds of messed up. Will you get to beat the hell out of the Dark Lord of the Sith in the game? Most likely, Yes! Will Darth Vader survive at the end? Of course!
One character that is almost guaranteed to get fanboys drooling is the female Imperial pilot, Juno Eclipse who is probably named after an intergalactic stripper.
Sometimes, it’s just a simple color change that will drive us collectors nuts. This is true for a black robed Imperial Guard. Sweet chickens in heat, I need about a dozen of these guys.
In my previous clone trooper picture post, I had mentioned that there were some variant army figures that might have a leg up on the clones. Well, here they are. Behold the glory of awesome to the max stormtroopers!
These two troopers are part of the upcoming Force Unleashed game. I’m all for Star Wars games like never before now. First we get the kickass Republic Commando figures and now this, more I say! As collectors we should demand more Star Wars videogames so more figures like this will get made. My lust for cool stormtroopers/clones holds no bounds!

I’m glad I can help blow your mind.

Any time a post contains so many non-standard Stormtroopers, it deserves more than one measly response! Concept Snowtrooper! Scout Trooper! That videogame thing! A member of the Ebony Guard!
Because, you know, they can’t be the Crimson Guard if they’re not in red?
Oh, and I distinctly remember seeing those Dark Trooper figures the last time they were around - in fact, I think I still have one.
Carded.

THANK YOU. I really thought I’d get some feedback on this one, since it contained so much awesome.

So who’s the TIE Fighter guy? I’m an absolute SUCKER for removable armor, too…

I haven’t followed his whole backstory but he was a TIE ace that is pretty bad ass. You can Wikipedia Baron Fel for all his badassery in one easy place. hehe

By the way yo go re, how could I go about doing a link exchange with your site? I can’t find any email address to ask anyone.
June 11th, 2007 at 10:45 pm
yes, I COULD look him up, but then I’d have to, like, type his name all by myself. That’s too much work, especially since the removable armor means I’ll buy him without even knowing or caring who he is. Removable armor!
(Yes, I’m TOTALLY just posting so I can win the contest. I’s greedy, I is!)
As for a link exchange, you can either email me for a nice answer, or read Questions 15-17 for our rude answer. Just keep in mind that that’s aimed at spammers, not real people…

I’m a jerk!
June 11th, 2007 at 10:56 pm
Wow that is mean.
June 11th, 2007 at 11:12 pm
Oh, now, it’s not THAT mean! Just… straightforward. Blunt. And intended for bots, mostly…
June 11th, 2007 at 11:45 pm
Well, I can only pray and hope that someday I may be worthy of getting a link bestowed upon me.
June 12th, 2007 at 11:57 am
heh. Well, to be fair, you’ve already got this one (which is how I keep coming back - watch the numbers for this post skyrocket!)…
June 12th, 2007 at 7:29 pm
Awesomeness. Although I can’t click on the link you have there, I’m assuming it’s a good one. heh
Thanks for coming back regardless!
June 12th, 2007 at 10:06 pm
Click on it? Hey, neither can I. Conspiracy!
We’ll try that again…
June 12th, 2007 at 11:23 pm
You know, I read that (enjoyed it by the way) and never realized that link was there. Thanks, that is a good link. You probably have realized by now that every time you comment here, you’re basically linking to your site. heh

Well, only when it relates. I’m not a total whore, after all…

Whore away! I don’t care!
