Star Wars Collectors, Don’t Give up Hope!
Attention Star Wars toy collectors: If you want some McQuarrie figure action and haven’t been able to find one as of yet, don’t all hope is not lost. A recent Q&A session gave all of us McQuarrie less cats something to look forward to:
YodasNews.com: Will Hasbro please consider packing more McQuarrie figures in further cases? It’s quite apparent that they’re great hits since the McQuarrie Concept Stormtrooper and Concept Boba Fett are never on the store shelves for long, especially with the Stormtrooper at one per case.
Hasbro: We are making more of them, so don’t give up hope of finding them. We are limited to 1 per case for the McQ figures due to manufacturing capacity, but will continue to release over time.
Hopefully, this means I won’t have to resort to the secondary market or the overpriced services of a convenient internet store for my McQuarrie needs. Even better news though, Hasbro has hinted that the Scuba Luke *might* hit Star Wars.com’s online store later in the year. As soon as I hear something, I’ll pass it on to you. Well, after I purchase my own of course.
The only bit of bad news? For those looking for a shot at getting a decently priced McQuarrie R2 and C-3PO… well, unless you’re going to the European or L.A. Celebrations and have scheduled time in the Star Wars shop you’re S.O.L. While I am going to the convention for a couple of days, I’m not going out of my way to get my hands on one of these things, meaning I’m just as out of luck as you poor saps.
