Star Wars Figure Update

Online toy store Entertainment Earth now has the Star Wars Saga wave 7 figures. You can get to them from here.
It seems this wave has got some serious Phantom Menace stank on it. Look at it, there are only 5 even worthwhile figures out of the whole set and that includes another Darth Vader. This time he’s got some really stupid looking electrical head. Maybe he spilled coffee on his suit, I don’t know.
I do like the new Luke in Endor gear. Hopefully you can take the poncho and helmet off to essentially make him into another figure.
The rest of these figures? Ugh. You get pod racer rejects, the ugly alien that Jar Jar stole food from (boy, wasn’t that funny? lol!), yet another Obi-wan, and a holographic Darth Maul. Whoop-di-do! To make this one of the worst waves ever, you even get a new Gungan. I bet everyone was crying out for that.
This is almost like a savings program courtesy of Hasbro.

Definitely less than inpressive, although between my son and eldest daughter, any figure with Darth in his name is worth having. I think they figure out that kids (and insano collectors) will buy any iteration of Darth Vader, Darth Maul and Obi Wan they spit out.

Oh I tend to agree. I might get this Vader, because with each version it seems like he covers certain poses. I just wish they’d make one that had a lot more articulation. For example, I have one that puts his hands on his belt, but looks like junk when he holds his saber. I have another that holds his saber a certain way, etc. I just thought this newest one looked silly with the electrical stuff on his head.
And yeah, I agree about the other figures, just spread them out a little more! Heh, I have a feeling that there’s going to be a lot of ones from this batch that will stick around while they release one or two clones in the next batch sparingly that will be impossible to find.

No doubt. I still see the Geonesian figures from a few series back hanging on the hooks.
As for articulation, I’ve got a spiderman figure with 32 points of articulation and you can pretty much pose him any way you want. That’s how it should be.

I have a 6 foot 2 inch figure/statue of Darth Maul that I won as a collectors Item and I am looking to sell it. It stands on a platform with an engraved name plate, with a very detailed mask, light saber, and full costume made out of good material. If you would be at all interested in something like this please check out my craigslist posting for pictures http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/clt/452253539.html
