Star Wars: New Unleased Battle Packs

It looks like Hasbro is finally getting around to doing more “classic” Star Wars figures in its highly successful Unleashed line. Here’s not one, but two pages of battlepacks (check them out here and here). There are some really great picks in here. Troop builders like me should really enjoy seeing both Stormtrooper and Sandtrooper packs. As for the other figures in the line, the Unleashed Jawas are snazzy (as my Mother would say). I don’t know who had leashed them before, but I’m glad Hasbro had the foresight to unleash them.
It’s too bad the Hoth Snowspeeders didn’t sell very well. Hasbro has stated that they’re not going to continue producing Unleashed scale vehicles. I was really hoping to see what other cool vehicles and playsets would come out along with a theme like this one. I’m guessing there could be the classic speeder so you could replay the whole, “I don’t need to see your identification” scene with Unleashed style. Sadly, the one thing I’ve learned over the years of collecting is that you can never have it all.

“I” did my share. The Manchild received his scaled down snow speader. He also got a 501st clone trooper and a few other variants. I could use an army of stormtroopers on my desk. That’d be sweet, as the kids say.

Keith, you’re almost too hip for me.
