Star Wars Saga Legends Fan’s Choice Polls Close
With the Saga Legends line you have a win-win situation for both Hasbro and toy buyers. Hasbro wins because all they have to do is clunk out a few thousand more figures from molds they already have. Fans win because they get another shot at owning a figure they might have missed without resorting to eBay.
This round of figures for the Saga Legends line for the Spring of 2008 has some good picks. In fact, it qualifies as a honest to goodness, old fashioned Clone Watch.

Here’s the list:
1. Shadow Stormtrooper: Not so much a clone, but a good army builder if you want a whole platoon of black colored Stormtroopers.
2. Commander Neyo: Previously only available in a Wal-Mart exclusive Battlepack that I couldn’t ever hope to find without giving up my job to hang out at Wal-Marts, this commander is a good pick since his helmet style is one of the few that hasn’t been wildly available as of yet.
3. Covert Ops Clone Trooper: This clone trooper repaint was a StarWarsShop.com exclusive that had been fairly rare. I’m glad I sold my extra for an awesome price while I could, because i have a feeling that the old ones are going to lose their value fairly quickly.
4. Utapau Shadow Trooper: This is yet another clone trooper repaint that was a store exclusive. In this case this one belonged to Target. Between the Covert Ops trooper and the Utapau trooper, I say the Utapau is the better pick. I like the black and silver color scheme a bit more.
5. Zev Senesca: The only non-trooper on the list, Zev was one of the Rebel Pilots on Hoth. I believe that he’s one of the ones that died there, but then again how many Rebel pilots didn’t die that weren’t named Luke.

dammit dammit dammit! I want the Shadow, the Utapau, AND the Covert Ops! Wanted them since they came out! Don’t make me choose, Hasbro!
Neyo is nice, but he really wouldn’t be done justice without his bike. And I thought that set was fairly plentiful - just not SO plentiful that it reached clearance, like I’d hoped…

Yo go re, I must live in the WORST area for toy buying, because neither walmart here ever had those sets that I know of. Same goes for most everything I look for. Gah, the agony!

I let the set slip away from me, then randomly saw a good half-dozen of them at a distant WM several months after they were long gone. It was weird. Hooray for lucky finds!
