Star Wars Starship Battles Preview #5

I’m not sure how many more of these previews I’ll be able to post, since you can actually buy Star Wars Starship Battles in stores now (this is where I’d put a link to a retailer, but I don’t have any partnerships with any yet… hint hint hinty hint). If Wizards of the Coasts keep making these, I’ll keep pointing you to them.
With this set we get a look at ships the old and the new films. The Imperial Shuttle that we’ve discussed here on Toy Bender makes its appearance in the game. From the stats I can understand, it seems like a pretty nifty and useful addition to any Imperial fleet. My only problem with it is that in the picture, the top wing looks bent. It seems sort of weird to include a picture of a defective piece on a promotional site… but what do I know?
The second preview craft is The Invisible Hand, General Grievous’s flagship. Again, I don’t know why anyone would want to build an entire army with the Separatist fleet, because the clone army is 100% more cool. I do like the fact that the preview talks about tactics in a way that makes me feel that the game will be more of a tactical combat situation and less of a bunch of small space skirmishes.
Damn, if Santa doesn’t get me one of these for Christmas I don’t know what I’m going to do.

i don’t think it’s bent, I think that there is angular indention on the back of the fin, giving it that look. Or, I could be completely wrong
I could imagine losing a few afternoons to this game.

Indeed. I think I’d have to have little missions to make this a better game, like for the rebels to have to blow up a certain target or something. I wouldn’t want just a duke it out thing each time. If I get a webcam and really invest in this, I’m taking your ass on btw.
