Star Wars Titanium Update

by Paul

If you collect the ultra cool Star Wars Titanium (and now Battlestar Galactica and Transformers) vehicles, Sir Steve’s Guide has posted a look at the newest series Titanium 3″ ships that will hit a store peg near you.

Me, I can’t wait for the Royal Guard TIE Interceptor. It defines what I really like about the Titanium series: Expanded Universe vehicles have a chance to shine. Also, Interceptors freaking rock, especially red ones.

Other good picks include the AT-TE, which looks like it is just begging to sit on my monitor at work. Luke’s muddy X-wing is a nice variation on the standard X-Wing and is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying the huge 3.75 figure scale Dagobah X-Wing that’s now a Toys R Us exclusive. Your boss might want to have a talk with you if you try bringing in that baby to work. (Unless he’s George Lucas)

    Paul,

This reminds me that I had Star Trek and Star Wars stuff all over my office back when I worked at a major hospital in our area. I was once given a lecture by my supervisor, who told me that my office didn’t look “professional” enough.

I pointed out that everyone who had come in started coversations about my toys, posters and figures. That made them a great ice breaker, which is very important in social work! My supervisor still wasn’t very happy with the situation but, ultimately, I got to keep my things!

Nice story, Gayle. I don’t see any difference between someone who has sports memorabilia in their cube/office and someone that has nerd items. I bet you your supervisor would have no problem if you had footballs and sports bobbleheads instead of phasers and spaceships.
