TAtTF: Another G.I. Joe Movie Preview

Awhile back I had covered a G.I. Joe commercial from the 90s that had some live action Joe’s that featured some truly terrible martial arts action. This commercial doesn’t have as much live action “acting”, but there’s enough to give you at least a minor chuckle:
If the upcoming movie isn’t any worse than this, I might be satisfied.
This commercial itself is for the second G.I. Joe Headquarters. For something made in the later part of the original Joe run, it’s pretty bad ass. I particularly enjoy the searchlight and the jailbreak escape features. The fact that the playset holds over a billion G.I. Joe figures is also pretty cool, as I’ve said in the past, the more figures a playset holds the better.

Hasbro should be making GI Joe commercials again just like the 80s. Or at least, they should compile all their old commericals and release it as a DVD pack so I can buy it.

“Put up your Dukes”?
How’d Destro ever nail a hot piece of ass like the Baroness with sad quips like that?
This playset was well after my time, but what’s kinda neat about it is that it pays subtle homage to the design of the first Joe HQ playset.

I’ve got news for you… the movie WILL be worse than this. Mostly because this was awesome. And the movie will suck the chrome off of Destro’s balls.

I had that base and yes, it was in fact the balls. That commercial made me realize how terrible that Gung-Ho v3 was. He looked like he belonged in the Village People
@Great White Snark
I agree with you in totality. The GI JOE move WILL suck tremendously.

uh Gung Hu always looked like he got kicked out of the village people for being too tough. even in his Real Ass Marine Dress Uniform. but that is why I adore him
I had that GI Joe HQ and it was really amazing. that was around the prime of my childhood GI Joe enthusiasm
