TAtTF: Old Radio Shack Toys - Savage Style

Our friend Savage has got another Toy Ads That Time Forgot up his sleeve. This time he turns his sights on a classic place for getting electronic toys: Radio Shack.
What kid doesn’t want to get a keen Raccoon stuffed animal with an AM(/FM if you’re lucky) radio inside? If raccoons aren’t your thing, they had a cat version as well as a dog and mouse - each looking freakier than the last. Whenever I got electronic toys like that as a kid I’d just take it apart to see what made it tick. Cuddly stuffed animal surgery was always fun. If that freaked your parents out too much you could just crank the volume of your toy way up. This worked best with new batteries while you sat in the back seat of the car where your parents
swing would miss.
Radio Shack toys haven’t improved much through the years, except that they’ve got RC cars now for the holidays. If they made a radio control AM/FM crazy cat stuffed animal, I’d get it!

“What a delightful gift.” Not even the voice-over guy sounds convinced.
