The Future of JLU

For those of you still wondering what’s going on with the Justice League Unlimited figures, the future of Mattel’s Justice League Unlimited toy line was finally revealed in the pages of the latest ToyFare.
The line isn’t being canceled like some had speculated, instead its going to go exclusive to Target stores this summer. There will be 13 new figures coming out this year with some repaints and re-decos that fans of the line have been begging for. One of the coolest figure releases is a six pack containing Darkseid, Mister Miracle, Mantis, Forager, and Lashina.
In 2009 there will be more figures coming out for JLU that weren’t necessarily in the Justice League Unlimited Show, rather it could see characters from shows like Batman the Animated Series.
You know it’s a shame that the series was canceled with the toy line living so long after it’s demise. I wonder how many more toys the series could have sold if it it had stayed on the air. Sigh.

are you kidding? If the show had kept going, they probably wouldn’t have even made this kind of step, and we’d still be seeing Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman collecting dust everywhere…

I’d rather have the show than toys if that’s the deal.

Yeah, same here, the show was fantastic.
Speaking of, who’s that broad with the Shazam-lightning on her costume in the image on the post? I don’t remember her.

We’re getting the Question out of this 13 figure run! How awesome is that? I too grow tired of the peg warming Batman & Superman everywhere I go. The figures we want that we do want like Blue Devil are so few and far between. All I know is that I will proudly display The Question next to my JLU Vigilante … awesome figure.

I want a Captain Marvel before it’s all said and done and I should pick me up a Dr. Fate at some point. And that’s the REAL Captain Marvel, not that lame cancer guy.

Duhr, Mary Marvel. Thanks, yo yo. Still don’t remember her appearing in the ‘toon, though…
