The Hunt M.A.: G.I. Joe Tactical Battle Station

You might be asking yourself, “Why am I looking at some poorly photographed pictures that some moron took of his stupid toy?” Why you ask? WHY!? This toy is super awesome, that’s why jerk. Now bear down for a face full of awesome, because it’s coming at you double quick.

The top down view.

Some hot Joe on Cobra action.

A little closer look. Notice, Storm Shadow about to claw a bitch.

Lady Jaye covers Flint while he secures some highly classified porn.
This playset is the G.I. Joe Tactical Battle Station sprinkled with some Joes I had laying around. Regular readers and super nerds will be able to spot some of the Joes I’ve talked about in previous posts. I first noticed the station in Mark Bellomo’s Book, “The Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe 1982-1994” and had previously been unaware of its existence until that point. I had been planning on getting some sort of playset to display loose Joes and this thing is beyond perfect. It’s a decent size and it can fit a few Joes while not being overwhelming like the U.S.S. Flagg. It also has a ton of nifty spots for figures to hang out in and enough features to give your Joes plenty to do, like kicking a little Cobra ass.
This thing is so awesome, I’m going to salute it the only way I know how… Duran Duran Style!

Now for the Toy Hunt particulars. I got this station off of eBay after I’d lost at least three other auctions trying to get my sweaty nerd hands on one. I dropped out of the other auctions when they hit about the seventy dollars and up mark. I had decided to wait it out and see if I could find a bargain and I finally managed to get this one for the low, low price of about 30 bucks. The only thing wrong with it is the sticker for the helipad is a little messed up, but I can get over that. Otherwise this thing is in pretty tip top condition. It even had the guns from the gun rack that can easily get lost, and more importantly none of the parts are broken. My auction skillz are now legendary.
So now that I have a great Joe display for fairly cheap and have bored nearly every single one of my readers, I turn to the true die-hards still reading this. Does anyone else have one of these and think it’s Teh Awesome Pants, or do you have a particular playset that you have a fondness for?

[…] The card wasn’t in the best of shape, so I was forced to open the figure. By best of shape I mean there were some scuffs and I kind of wanted him open anyway (shut up you toy openers). Opening the toy also afforded me the option of writing about him in more detail for the blog so I consider this a win win situation. Snake Eyes is about as cool as I hoped he would be, with some great articulation and nice sculpting. The only negatives that I can think of are his sword is kind of crappy with a hilt that seems disproportionately long and a blade that seems too short for an action figure. He also doesn’t have a back pack peg hole, which to me is one of the big hallmarks of the entire G.I. Joe line. You can put his knife in his boot, but where do you put the sword? Maybe that’s just me though. Overall this is an awesome figure and he’s going to find a home somewhere on my Tactical Battlestation. […]

Nice, man. Nice. It seems to me no one is helping Storm Shadow to claw those freakos. Oh, and is that a limited edition Master Chief next to the Battlestation?

Storm Shadow don’t need no help. heh
Yep, I’ve been thinking about selling that guy for awhile. I’m only sort of attached to him.
